Gigapans

Gigapans are very high resolution pictures taken with the Gigapan robotic camera mount. The level of detail that you can zoom into is stunning. One of these shots, the Singapore F1 2010, was chosen for inclusion in the largest Atlas ever published, Earth Platinum. On the right is a short video about how I made it.

Earth Platinum is now owned by the British Library and several other major (and in some cases very private) collectors. Watch the BBC Coverage of the event here. The Guinness Book of Records also took the time to measure it and confirm its status as the largest Atlas ever made.
