August has been a very productive month for video work, for sure. This week I was shooting a big production for a Standard Chartered Bank internal training video. Altogether it's nearly 18 minutes of running time, with full dialog and professional acting cast. Naturally it won't be bothering the judges at the Academy, but it's certainly been a marathon effort hauling this one in on deadline. I also edited down the Calamity Studio series into one 20 minute episode, and there have been several other projects keeping me busy, including the one below.

While I was in Singapore last weekend I and found myself at a loose end, so I filmed my friend Heather Anderson creating one of her unique Mantra works of art. This process normally takes around 4 hours, but you can watch live creativity right at super speed.
The film was shot using a Canon EOS 5 D MKII and edited in Premiere CS5. I wrote and produced the music in Sonar X1c at the KL Calamity Studio facility.
I'm rushing off to Spain for September, for a long photography trip around the southern coast, but before then I'm hoping to put the finishing touches to at least two or three of the Aussie Road Trip videos. We had a test screening of the rough cuts a couple of weeks ago and they seemed to go down well, so if you liked the Calamity Studio Build series then you'll probably like this collection too.
